What supplies should be included in an emergency preparedness kit for a natural disaster? Why?
As part of your performance task, you will create an emergency preparedness kit for a natural disaster. Today you are going to begin researching some items you may want to include in the kit. Use at least three different online resources to identify at least 10 items to include in an emergency preparedness kit for a natural disaster. Create a graphic organizer to organize your research notes. Remember to list your sources.
Note: You may need to infer why some supplies are needed. If necessary, use what you have learned about what happens during a natural disaster to figure out how an item could be used. (RI.5.7, W.5.7, W.5.8)
