Review Lesson 2-3: Graph the following linear equations.

Graph 1: y=-2.5x+4
Graph 2: -2x+y=4
Graph 3: y+3=2(x-1)

  • Click the graph tab.
  • Choose the correct graph type.
  • Click on the graph background to add a point. Add two points to create a graph. Drag a point or type in x and y coordinates to edit its position. Click on a point to delete it.

Review Lesson 2-4: Match each slope/point pair with its equation written in standard form.

  • slope = 0; includes (0, 2)
  • slope = 2; includes (2, 6)
  • slope = -1; includes (-3, 3)
  • -2x + y = 2
  • y = 2
  • x + y = 0

Vocabulary Review: Indicate the set(s) of data that you can model with a linear function.

  • birthdays of your classmates
  • amount of rain each day of the week
  • 3, 6, 9, 12,...
  • Can be modeled with a linear function

Vocabulary Review: Indicate the graphs that do NOT show a linear function.

You may need to zoom out to see all of the items. You can also place each item from the left column by selecting it (click it) then selecting (clicking on) the category for it.

  • Do NOT show a linear function

Use Your Vocabulary: Indicate the correlation that most closely represents each situation.

The image below may be a helpful reminder:

  • Positive correlation
  • Negative correlation
  • No correlation
  • the age of a used car and the car's value
  • the color of your hair and the weather in Venezuela
  • the number of minutes you study for a test and your test grade
