Interpreting Box Plots

For the highest score, remember where to look on the graph!

When asked what percent, remember to find how many sections first!

What is the median score? (Where is the median score??)

(hint: remember to find the number of sections that work, and what % each section is)

Looking at the scores, and spread of scores, do you think the test was too hard?


Remember that each section is 1/4 of the 100%

Range means high - low, so find where the middle 50% would be first! (do not include units in the answer)

Think- How many sections are under 20 minutes???, what % is that?

Look at the TV box plot! Find how many sections cover at least 15 minutes first!

Remember that the 3rd quartile is the middle of the top half...

Compare how many sections on each box plot that are more than 1 hour. Answer 'Homework' or 'TV'.
