Chapter 1.3 – Scientific Method –a way of thinking, questioning, and gathering evidence When you watched the United Streaming Video on the Scientific Method, you saw an experiment on whether light is required for plants to grow. The two students used the same materials to set up an experiment where seeds were exposed to light and no light. For seven days they observed the plants’ growth and recorded their measurements and observations. The seeds not exposed to light were less dense and pale yellowish in color.

Extra Credit: One of the steps after an experiment is completed is to publish and share the results with the public. There was an indication from the videos you have listened to and the materials that you have read that accomplishing this task of publication makes a person a "scientist." Make an argument for whether your teacher, Mrs. Egbert, could be considered a scientist or not.
