In a brief moment that changes both Richard’s and Sasha’s lives forever, Richard flicks a lighter, and Sasha’s skirt goes up in flames.  An impulse is a sudden, strong, and unreflective urge or desire to act--without slowing down to think about the consequences of these actions.
