Natural predators such as snakes, sea gulls, and raccoons are threats to sea turtles, but human beings pose the greatest threat to the sea turtles. People threaten the turtles if they disturb the nesting sites or harm the sea turtles at sea. This problem could be solved if people were more educated about sea turtles. Most people do not know what a turtle nesting site looks like or how the things that humans do can harm them. The first step in protecting the turtles is education!

Itsy flew closer to the object. As she flew nearer, she saw that it was a tree. Finally, Itsy had found a place to rest after all.

Getting ready to camp is almost as much work as setting up camp. First, my dad takes the camping gear from the attic. Then, everyone has a piece of equipment to check. My job is to check the tent. I make sure it has no holes or tears. After I check for holes, I spray the whole tent with Water-Off. This helps the tent stay dry if it rains. After all the gear is checked, we help Dad load the car. Finally, when the car is loaded, we set off for a weekend of mountain adventures.

Green sea turtles and loggerhead sea turtles live along the beaches of the Atlantic and the Pacific oceans. Green sea turtles are endangered, meaning there are not many of them left in the world. Loggerheads are listed as threatened. This means loggerhead sea turtles are on their way to becoming endangered. Grass, algae, and other plants are what green sea turtles eat. Because of this, they are herbivores. Loggerhead sea turtles like to eat horseshoe crabs, clams, and mussels. Because they eat meat, loggerheads are carnivorous animals. Both the loggerhead and green sea turtles tend to stay close to the coastline.
