Remember: an action is reflexive if someone is doing something to themselves. Ask "Who is doing the action?" and "Who is getting the action?" If the answer to both question is the same person/people, then it's reflexive and you need the reflexive pronoun with the verb. If the answers are different (I bathe my child) then it's not reflexive and you use the verb normally. Pronouns go before a conjugated verb (Me lavo la cara) or after & attached to the infinitive (Tengo que lavarme la cara). You usually have the chance to put it after & attached to the infinitive when someone wants to do something, has to do something, just did something, needs to do it or is going to do it.
