Sometimes we use coordinating conjunctions (FANBOYs) in sentences that are NOT compound because the second half is NOT a complete sentence because there's no subject. For example...
NO COMMA: Jesse ran out the door and jumped on the bus.
If we just look at the second part, it's not a complete sentence. That same sentence would have a comma if we added the subject "he" to the second part of the sentence.
COMMA: Jesse ran out the door, and he jumped on the bus.
Below, write two similar sentences just like the example ones above - one without a comma and one compound sentence with a comma.
