What is an Ordered Pair?
Something purchased by a couple on their frist date.
Two variables put together in alphabetical order.
A pair of numbers (x,y) used to describe a position on a coordinate plane.
Define Domain.
The second number in the ordered pair - the y values.
An area of territory owned or controlled by a ruler or government.
The first number in an ordered pair - the x values.
Define Range.
The extent of time covered by something such as forcast.
What is a function?
A relation in which each element in the domain (x-values) is paired with exactly one element in the range (y-values).
A thing dependent on another factor or factors.
An activity or purpose intended for a person or thing.
What is slope?
The part of the side of a hill or mountain, especially as a place for skiing.
Describes how steep a line is: the change in y-values divided by the change in x-values.
A surface of which one end or side is at a higher level than another.
