USING CONTEXT CLUES TO UNDERSTAND ECONOMICS (I)


In any technical subject, like economics, words commonly used in everyday life acquire very specific technical meaning, and confusion can arise when someone is uncertain of the intended meaning of a word. CONTEXT CLUES are very helpful to understand the meaning of theses words!


Read these examples in PART A and use context clues to understand the meaning of the economic terms. Then in PART B, find the type of context clue that helped you.
