Oxyfuel, better known as Oxyacetylene, is the processes in which Oxygen and Fuel are combined to make a flame.
The two main types of fuel used include Acetylene and Oxygen.
When storing cylinders, they should be held upright and chained down.
When starting the fuel lines, you should open the Acetylene FULLY and Oxygen a QUARTER turn.
When starting the fuel lines, you should open the Acetylene 15 psig.
Red = Oxygen
Red = Acetylene
Oxygen First and Acetylene Second.
If you have a Carburizing Flame, you have too much Oxygen in the mix causing the tempautre to be too low.
Neutral Flame is the best choice and a prefect mixture of both fuels.
Oxidizing Flame does not have enough oxygen caushing the flime to make too much noise and high temperatures.
Before using the cutting torch, you should not check the cutting tip for slag or problems.
When making a cut, you should just start the flame full force before pre-heating the surface.
The cutting torch should be held at a 90 degree angle
If you are moving too fast, you will have slag build up on the metal.
If you apply to much pressure to a cut, you will not cut all the way throught the material.
