Tale of the Teeth
Dolphins are part of the whale family. Unlike blue whales and other baleen whales, dolphins are toothed whales. A dolphin’s teeth are cone-shaped and very sharp. Dolphins use their sharp teeth to catch slippery fish and other prey. Some dolphins eat only fish. Other dolphins seem to prefer a diet of squid and octopus. Bottlenose dolphins are fond of fish, mollusks, and crabs and other crustaceans.

Super Stars!
Dolphins are playful and very smart. The animals often seem as though they are having fun. Dolphins are able to quickly learn tricks and imitate actions. Some dolphins have even become television and movie actors!
