Why did you chose that person? Describe your ideas about what has happened to human population in the time period from the year 1350 to the present day. Include an idea about what kind of mathematical pattern is described by the person you most agree with.
In World History class, students are studying how human populations have changed over time. They are looking at how the Black Plague of the Dark Ages (14th century) had a devastating effect on world wide population, especially in Europe, where up to 70% of people may have died. They are making predictions about how human population may have recovered since this destructive event. Select who you agree with most.
José: I think that human population has basically stayed the same since the Black Plague.
Marina: I think that after the human population decreased due to the Black Plague, it has never recovered.
Jessica: I think that human population has been steadily increasing since the Black Plague. It will continue to increase at a steady rate into the future.
Madison: Since the Black Plague, human population has been growing at an increasing rate.
