TYPE 3: is a single draft, self-checked with changes/corrections made to each of the listed areas for 3 specific focus correction areas (FCAs). Each FCA is worth a possible 10 points.

FCA 1
ORGANIZATION LT#1: Brainstorm using a plot diagram. Please fill in the plot diagram you have brainstormed for your current story.

FCA 2
CONTENT LT#2: Create Context. Copy and paste a paragraph from your writing journal that has strong or weak context (bold face the context you already have). Then, revise the paragraph to add a bit more context into the paragraph (underline the newly added revisions).

STYLE #1: Add description and detail. Copy and paste a paragraph from your writing journal that has strong or weak description and detail (bold face the description and detail you already have). Then, revise the paragraph to add a bit more description and detail into the paragraph (underline the newly added revisions).

Check for the following areas as well...

I can:

  • Capitalize the first word of a sentence.
  • Use end marks
  • Avoid abbreviations and text language.
  • Spell simple words correctly.

Before you submit, copy and paste the revised paragraph(s) you used for this Type 3 (because you just made them better) into your writing log to replace the old paragraph(s).

Also, feel free to screenshot your plot diagram if you need to remember your narrative organization later.
