Density Problems

  • Solve the following problems.
  • Show your work in the "Show your work" field so that I can help you if you got it wrong. Generally, in this class, you don't get credit if you don't show your work.
  • Type your answer in the numerical answer field (round to sig figs), then type one space, then type your units. If your answer is a decimal, include the leading zero (the zero before the decimal point).
  • Example: 0.25 g/mL

  • Formative may automatically make the g/mL look like a real fraction; that is fine.
  • To add a superscript/exponent for something like cm3, you may type a carat (^). For example, typing, "g/cm^3" should format this correctly as a unit of density.
