Crawfordsville is the home of the only known working rotary jail in the U.S. What's a rotary jail? Instead of the jailers going to a prisoner's cell, they could bring the prisoner's cell to them! A special mechanism moved the individual jail cells to an opening where the prisoner was put into and let out of the cell. The jail was built in 1882. Today the jail is a museum.

In 1995 Jeff was the youngest person ever to win the Winston Cup. When he was 25 years old, he became the youngest-ever winner of the Daytona 500. Jeff has won the Indianapolis Brickyard 400 several times! He retired from racing in 2015.
