I’ve heard stories about some modern demigods-sons and daughters of Norse gods or goddesses-who turned their backs on the weirdness of the Nine Worlds. Instead of fighting when monsters appeared, they ran and hid. Some decided they were legitimately crazy. They took meds. They checked themselves into hospitals.
