INFINITIVE: An infinitive is the most basic form of any verb. In English, it can be identified as 'to + verb." In Spanish, infinitives are identified by their endings: -AR, -ER, -IR.

TRANSLATIONS Some infinitives must be followed by prepositions and therefore do NOT necessarily translate word-for-word from English to Spanish or Spanish to English.
