Step 1: Choose any recipe that you or a family cooks regularly. Create a list of ALL the ingredients and the quantity of each ingredient. (Make sure this is 1 serving of the recipe):

Example: Nana’s chicken fried rice

  • 0.5 tablespoons sesame oil

  • 0.5 tablespoons vegetable oil

  • 0.25 pounds chicken breast

  • 0.5 cups of frozen peas and carrots

  • 1 garlic clove

  • 1 green onion

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 cup white rice

  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce

  • 0.25 tsp salt

  • 0.25 tsp pepper
