Jobs for James
James saw a cool new hamster cage. "Hamster Hank would like this," he said. "Hank could run in all the tubes and rooms!"
At home, James counted his money. "I have three dollars and the cage costs ten dollars. I will need to get more money," he thought. "I'll ask my family if there are any jobs I can do for them."
"I will pay you two dollars to rake the leaves," said Grandpa.
"I will pay you three dollars to clean your room," said Dad.
"I will pay you two dollars to pull weeds," said Mom.
First, James raked the leaves. Then, he cleaned his bedroom. Finally, he pulled some weeds for mom.
"Now I have the money I need," James said. "I can buy Hank's new cage!"
James got Hank's new cage. He was proud of his hard work. Hank loves his new home!
