Within the Milky Way galaxy exists a small, terrestrial planet named Orf. The planet Orf hosts a variety of life forms, the most evolved of these are the Dropas, a species of exact and orderly creatures. Dropas are simple creatures and require only one form of nutrition, momo, which is found abundantly beneath the top layer of soil on Orf.

By planetary law, all Dropas are required to perform physical labor and extract a specific amount of momo during their lifetime to ensure continuation of their species. They are also paid a modest sum of currency for their efforts, because even Dropas want to have a little fun when they are not working.
