EXAMPLE:
5 3/9 - 2 7/9
1. Check to see if you can subtract the first fraction from the second; if you cannot then begin step 2
2. Regroup by changing one of your whole numbers in the first mixed number into a fraction & add it to the fraction you already have (see blue steps with arrow)
3. Subtract your numerators, leave your denomators the same, then subtract your whole numbers to find your new mixed number answer
