**And throw away bad marshmallows if you are at a station that uses them**
Partner A holds the ruler to measure (and record in their data table) all 3 shots while partner B double-checks that their ruler and line of sight are lined up correctly and verbally confirms the measurement they see.
Partner B takes their practice shot, confirms verbally that Partner A is ready and shoots all three shots - verbally confirming with Partner A that they are ready before each shot - while partner A marks their locations on the target
