IRREGULAR NOUNS:

  • Child – children
  • Tooth – teeth
  • Foot – feet
  • Goose – geese
  • Mouse – mice
  • Woman - women
  • Man - men

NOUNS ONLY IN SINGULAR!

  • mass nouns - butter, air, flour etc
  • school subjects - Maths, Physics, History etc
  • games - billiards, darts, football etc
  • diseases - flu, measels, mumps etc
  • other - accommodations, advice, homework, hair, information, news, seaside, traffic, work, furniture, money, rubbish, jewellery etc

NOUNS ONLY IN PLURAL!

  • objects consisting of two parts - trousers, pyjamas, binoculars, scissors etc
  • other - clothes, people, police, stairs etc
