Every level of government has leaders. All but one of Indiana's 92 coutnies are governed by a three-member board of county commissioners. Counties include cities, towns, and townships. Cities are governed by a mayor and group of people called a city council. Towns are governed by a board of trustees.

Indiana is served by some of the best waterways in the world. Ports along Lake Michigan allow freight to be moved to Indiana's many northern factories. The Ohio River is the main waterway in souther Indiana. River barges travel up and down the river to the many ports in the area.

Indiana has many strange and silly laws. For instance, it is illegal to dress Barbie in Ken's clothes! In Gary, it is illegal to go to a public place within four hours of eating garlic! Indiana hotel sheets must be exactly 99 inches long and 81 inches wide!
