Wabash is known as the first electrically lighted city in the world. On March 31, 1880, the lights went on in Wabash, which is in northern Indiana. At that time, the cost for lighting the entire city for one year was about $800.

Wednesday:

Indiana has a long history in automobiles. More than 500 different kinds of motor vehicles have either been assembled or manufactured in towns across the state. During World War II, Indiana was the chief supplier of Studebaker trucks, cars, and amphibious vehicles used in the war effort.

Thursday:

Arthur Banta was a zoologist who became famous for studying how the environment affects cave animals. Zoology is the study of animals. Arthur was born in 1877 in Greenwood.
