In Geometry, "Translation" simply means Moving without rotating, resizing, or anything else, just moving.
Today, you will describe how an image is translated.
First, you need to identify the original image and the translated image.
The original image will have labeled points of a, b, c, and so on.
The translated image will have labeled points of a', b', c' and so on (the ' is pronounced "prime")
Second, say how many units the translated image went left or right (ex. if the image moved to the right 2 units, type "2 units right")
Third, say how many units the translated image went up or down (ex. if the image moved to the down 3 units, type "3 units down")
Your final answer should say something like "2 units right, 3 units down"
For example, for the following image, you would write "4 units left, 5 units up" because that is how much the original image (the image without the apostrophes) moved to get to the translated image (the image with the apostrophes).
Write a rule for each of the following translations.
