The formation of le futur proche with some multiple choice practice.
When we want to talk about activities that we are planning on doing in the immediate future (less than one year out), we use LE FUTUR PROCHE. We form this tense by combining the conjugated form of aller (je vais, tu vas, il/elle/on va, nous allons, vous allez, ils/elles vont) with the infinitive form of the verb/action that we are doing. In English, we say, "I am going to study”. In French it would be, "Je vais étudier." Vais-is the conjugated form of aller and écudier is the infinitive form of the verb "to study”. The futur proche has TWO parts
Nous (chercher)... des fruits et des légumes au marché. (au futur proche)
Mes amis et moi (jouer)... au parc pour un tournoi de basket. (au futur proche)
Qu’est-ce que tu (manger)... pour le souper au restaurant? (Au futur proche)
Est-ce que tu (danser) ... avec moi ce soir? (au futur proche)
Je (sortir = to go out) ... demain avec mes amis. (au futur proche)
Est-ce que ta famille et toi (visiter) ... votre grandmère plus tard? (*au futur proche)
Mes amis (aller) ... à la plage ce weekend. (au futur proche)
Il (prendre = to take) ... le train au centre-ville.
