The formation of le futur proche with some multiple choice practice.

When we want to talk about activities that we are planning on doing in the immediate future (less than one year out), we use LE FUTUR PROCHE.  We form this tense by combining the conjugated form of aller (je vais, tu vas, il/elle/on va, nous allons, vous allez, ils/elles vont) with the infinitive form of the verb/action that we are doing.  In English, we say, "I am going to study”.  In French it would be, "Je vais étudier."  Vais-is the conjugated form of aller and écudier is the infinitive form of the verb "to study”.  Please watch this video for more informtion:

It's the "Je" form of the verb

It's the verb BEFORE you conjugate it.  For exampler, parler or "to speak" in English.

It expresses the future tense.

The futur proche has TWO parts

verbe à l'infinitif (Ex; Je jouer)

verbe à l'infinitif + aller (au présent) (Ex: Je sortir vais

aller (conjuguer au présent) + verbe à l'infinitif (Ex: Je vais sortir)

verbe à l'infinitif + jouer (Ex:Je jouer joue)
