What science related issues are you aware of in our community or in our world?
  • List as many as possible

Our world is plagued by many issues, and many of them have a direct involvement in science.

As scientists we often have to gather information and data to share with others or to better understand certain issues. When we gather information from other need to be sure we can go back to the source, and we also need to be sure that when we use information from others we give them credit.

Part 1: In your own words, Summarize once article/video about the topic you are most interested in.

CFS:
  1. accurately identifies the central idea from the primary source of evidence
  2. accurately describes and provides supporting rationale that support the stated claim

Part 2: What is the cause of the problem? AND how do you know this is the cause of your identified topic?

Example "The cause of climate change is .... this is the root cause because ... "

CFS:
  • Student accurately identifies the relationship of the primary resource to their topic
  • Student describes most relevant details of the primary resource

THINK: What solution would you design to reduce or eliminate your identified topic? (We will create blueprints tomorrow)
