Texas write the Turtle Bayou Resolution to explain why they are taking up arms against Blackburn. Texans were very clear to state they were not rebelling against Mexico, they were just upset with the treatment they received from Bradburn.
Stephen F. Austin is arrested after the letter he wrote in anger is discovered. Santa Anna refuses to make the changes he promised to Austin.
In response to Teran report, Mexico passes The Law of April 6th, 1830. Is main goal being to limit immigration to Texas from the US and make Texas a more Mexican territory.
Santa Anna sends more troops to crack down and disarm Texans. This angers many Texans and causes them to really consider rebellion.
Stephen F. Austin meets with Vice President Farias instead of Santa Anna and is treated very poorly.
Feb 23, 1836 Siege of the Alamo begins. Santa Anna vowed to take no prisoners.
Texas meet at the Convention of 1836 to set up a provisional government and write a declaration of independence. George Childress wrote the Texas Declaration of Independence.
Oct 2 1835 - The Battle of Gonzales is fought over a small cannon with the Texas rebels using the slogan “Come and Take it”. This lets Texans know they can defeat the Mexican army.
Texas meets for the Convention of 1832 to address some of the issues in Texas. Mexico sees this convention as illegal and refuses to hear Texans concerns.
Stephen F. Austin meets with Santa Anna and receives all the changed he requests except for Texas to be its own state.
March 27, 1836 Col Fannin and 340 other men are massacred on orders by Santo Anna.
Stephen F. Austin gets angry at the treatment he receives and writes an angry letter back home to Texas.
April 21, 1836 Battle of San Jacinto. Sam Houston launches a surprise afternoon attack on Santa Ann, catching the Mexican army off guard. The Mexican army is defeated and Santa Anna is captured.
Santa Anna signs the Treaty of Velasco both public and private versions, ending the Texas Revolution and giving Texas independence.
Mexican soldiers are sent to Texas to help enforce the Law of April 6th, 1830. One officer is John “Juan” Bradburn, who abuses his power and upsets the people of Anuahac.
Meir y Teran is since to Texas to report on the condition of the area. He writes a report and recommends many changes to Texas, including stopping immigration to Texas from the US.

March 19-20 Battle of Coleto Creek. Col Fannin get surrounded in an open prairie and is force to surrender.
March 6, 1836 Siege of the Alamo ends with Texans defeat and all defenders killed.
Texas meets of the Convention of 1833 to address more concerns they have in Texas. Stephen F. Austin is selected to go to Mexico City to take their concerns to Santa Ann himself.
