TASK 1

a) Coffee costs $8.40 for 3 pounds. What is the cost of 1 pound of coffee? Explain or show your calculations

Salt Water--Alfonso and Bob both had a sore throat, so their mom told them to gargle some warm salt water.

Alfonso mixed 1 teaspoon of salt with 3 cups of water.

Bob mixed \frac{1}{2} teaspoon of salt with 1\frac{1}{2} cups of water.

Alfonso tasted Bob's salt water and said, "I added more salt so I expected that mine would be more salty tasting, but they taste the same."
