A point is a location that can be named using a CAPITAL LETTER.

(Point A)

A line is made up of points. Any 2 points form a line. Lines can be named with

  • TWO points on the line with arrows on top (XY) OR
  • A lower case letter (Line n)

A plane is a FLAT surface made up of points. Any 3 points make up a plane. Planes can be named with

  • THREE non-collinear points on the plane (Plane JKL) OR
  • An upper case letter (Plane P)
