Some rules to remember when multiplying integers:

+ve times +ve = +ve
+ve times -ve = -ve
-ve times +ve = -ve
-ve times -ve = +ve
When adding or subtracting integers remember the number line. Eg. -5 + 3 is 5 steps backwards and 3 steps forward. Making it a total of 2 steps bakward, ie, -2.
