Students will complete the following assessment using the listed criteria for success. It is imperative that students are making annotations on a seperate sheet of paper as they progress through the assessment. After each question, students will be prompted to "Prove It" by writing a statement that justifies why the answer they slected is correct with the use of text evidence.


This story is a lexile level 820, which is a 4th grade reading level. Once you complete the assignment and a score is provided you will then know if you are Approaching (score 70-75), Meeting (score 80-85), or Mastering (90-100) in regards to passing your 6th Grade Reading STAAR.
