• Choose a person to make a portrait of- it can be yourself, a family member, or a famous person
• Write a short biography (paragraph) about them, so I can learn a little bit about them
• This MUST be in your own words, NOT plagiarized from somewhere else
• Write a few sentences about why you chose this person
• Create a “Roman” portrait of that person- you can use whatever medium you want- digital drawing tools, hand drawn, sculpture, your own version of a mummy portrait, etc.
• Explain the choices you made in your portrait- what physical elements did you include/highlight? Why did you clothe them in that way? What materials would this be made from?
• What is the story or message that your portrait is trying to get across?
