Full Discrepancy: As a class, we did not do well on this Reading skill on the Mid-Year Exam. On average, we are answering 52% of Words in Context questions right, which is 7-10% below past 11th graders at this point in the year!
Hopefully the Rapid Fire exercise above gave you a bit more faith in the process. Some of us had trouble with time, and most of these questions were later in the test, but others need to have a bit more faith in the reading strategy.
Understanding Words in Context questions show up on 20% of the SAT Reading exam -- this is about 1 in every 5 questions!
