Casey and Violet are sisters, but they have different moms. Violet is two years older than Casey. They are best friends and do almost everything together. Sometimes, while Casey is at basketball practice, Violet sits in the bleachers and does her homework. When Violet earned the lead role in the school play, Casey was in the front row on opening night. They sometimes argue over clothes, especially when Casey tries to sneak Violet's favorite hoodie and doesn't return it. On the weekends, when they aren't making Tiktok videos or cooking breakfast together, Violet is either getting ahead in her math class or catching up on her favorite anime show, while Casey sits beside her loudly yelling at her Nintendo Switch with two weeks' worth of incomplete homework sticking out of her backpack across the room.
