Guess!--Suppose you have a bag containing 2 black marbles and 3 red marbles. You reach into the bag, select a marble, see what color it is, and replace it in the bag (put it back in).
Then you repeat this process. What is the probability of picking a red marble both times?

Even More Marbles--A box contains 3 red marbles, 6 blue marbles, and 1 white marble. The marbles are selected at random, one at a time. Marbles are replaced each time they are pulled and before the next one is pulled. Find each of the following probabilities:

a) P(blue then red) = ___________

b) P(blue then blue) = ___________

c) P(red then white then blue) = ____________

Spinner Winners?--You spin the two spinners, one after the other. You can assume that all segments of the spinners are equal sizes. What is the probability of…

a) P(A and 2) =

b) P(D and 1) =

c) P(A and not 2) =

This will be graded manually, so be patient!

Awesome work!

Please do not move on to the exit ticket until we start it as a class.

Get some more IXL practice in so you can reach your SBAC/MAP goals!

Real Winning Spinning--Use the spinner to answer the next two problems. You can assume that all the segments are the same area.

a) If you spin the spinner twice, what is the probability of spinning orange then black?

b) If you spin the spinner twice, what is the probability of spinning black both times?

Planning--After your exit ticket is done, go to Kickboard, click on your math class, and scroll through and find your lowest summative grade.

If you need to go to reteaching to make sure you pass math with a 70% or above, make sure you stay on Thursday after school.

Select your lowest summative (only from semester 2 and not including the Spring Interim) from the multiple choice, and write it down somewhere so that when you come to reteaching, you know what you need to take a retake on.

If you don't complete this question, I cannot guarantee that I will have a retake for you. Remember that the end of the year is coming up, so start getting grades up early :)

Planning Part 2--Let me know here if you plan to come to reteaching tomorrow. Please do not come to reteaching if your grade is already in the 90's. I will prioritize people with grades between 55 and 89.
