How do the daughter cells compare to the parent cell?
They are different.
They are identical.
Before mitosis, a cell makes copies of its chromosomes. When it makes these copies, it has two of each chromosome. One copy goes into each new daughter cell during mitosis. The new daughter cells are exactly the same.
