Er ist junge 20 Jahre alt und ist ein teurer  (37 Millionen Euro) Spieler. Mario Götze ist schon ein grosser Superstar. Der schnelle Ball-Techniker machte bei Borussia Dortmund den Weg zum Profi, Nationalspieler und Meister, der BVB wurde zu seiner zweiten Familie. Doch sein kluger Jugendtrainer glaubt: Er wird sich auch in München wohlfühlen.
"Sensation", "Wahnsinn", "Supertransfer" - die Fußballwelt ist glücklich seit dem man weiss, dass Mario zum FC Bayern gewechselt hat. 
"Mario Götze ist eines der größten Talente, das wir je hatten", sagte der stolze Trainer vor zwei Jahren dem Fussballmagazin "Kicker".

Damals war Mario erst 18 Jahre alt. Er ist außergewöhnlich, kühn, spontan und zurückhaltend in seinem Charakter.

Das war auch Borussia Dortmunfd früh klar, seit 2001 spielt Götze für die "Schwarz-Gelben". Im Sommer geht mit dem Wechsel nach München eine bisher steile Erfolgsgeschichte des 20-Jährigen beim BVB zu Ende.

"Spielwitz und Intelligenz - und eine unglaubliche Technik", das habe den kleinen Kicker damals schon ausgezeichnet. So habe er auch ohne Probleme seine körperlichen Defizite ausgleichen können.

Die Familie Götze war damals gerade aus Ronsberg im Ostallgäu nach Dortmund gezogen. Vater Jürgen, Professor für Datentechnik, hatte einen neuen Job an der Universität Dortmund angetreten. Nach drei Jahren beim SC Ronsberg lief Mario Götze nun für Hombruch auf, schon damals im offensiven Mittelfeld. "Hinter den Spitzen war er einfach am stärksten" erinnert sich Droese, "Mario hat für uns jede Menge Tore geschossen". Schon seien Mario und der Ball unzertrennlich gewesen, "er musste nie runtergucken, wie die anderen Jungs", so Droese, "Mario wusste einfach immer, was der Ball macht".

So gut war der Supertechniker laut Droese, dass er mit den ein Jahr älteren Jungs in einer Mannschaft spielte - und auch da jeden Ball bekam. Als er einmal, im Alter von acht Jahren, gar bei den drei Jahre Älteren aushalf, habe er sich mühelos durchgesetzt. "Er war schon immer der Ehrgeizigste bei uns", so Trainer Droese, "auf dem Platz ist es egal, wie alt du bist. Da zählt nur, ob du kicken kannst. Und Mario war einfach der Beste." Der Beste, aber nicht der Lauteste. Als seine Mannschaft ihn zum Kapitän wählte, habe er das nicht machen wollen, erzählt Droese: Er wollte eben nur kicken.
