Although you may also need to gather background knowledge on your topic, please avoid questions that elicit a brief, one or two-word response, such as “When was the Civil War?” 
In terms of context questions, one like, “What events caused the Civil War to happen?” may help you deepen your understanding of the topic and begin considering historical lessons or alternate interpretations of your topic, thereby Answering the Prompt.
