Salva is away from his family, walking across Sudan. He is tired and hungry and so grateful to get to eat the honey from the bees. When he was at home, he had lots to eat, including milk. But I think that being on his journey has made him appreciate the little things: he doesn’t even care that his eye is swollen shut.
