Glaciers are big rocks of ice that cover the land. Some glaciers can be found on top of mountains which are called alpine glaciers. Others are huge, large pieces of ice on land and they are called continental glaciers. Glaciers are slow weather changes. Over time snow keeps piling on the glaciers and it causes them to move. When the glaciers move the effect they have on earth is that they move the land. Glaciers cause weathering and erosion to happen.
