Students explore ecosystems and ecosphere.

Each animal in a habitat ahs a special role. If a habitat is where an animal lives and the niche is their special job and way way of making a living, then what is the special job of the flamingo?

An ecosphere is a micro-ecosystem in a closed system where the organisms depend on each other to survive by making use of the carbon cycle.
What would happen to the rest of the organisms in the ecosphere if the algae were removed? Why? Explain your thinking in 3-5 full sentences.
In your answer be sure to include the following vocabulary:
Food, Oxygen, Carbon Dioxide, Inorganic Nutrients, and Waste.

Thinking about the Carbon Footprint Calculator activity where we saw how different
things increase our carbon footprint such as:
how many members are in our family,
how much money a family has to spend,
if we choose to eat more veggie and fruit instead of meat, fish and eggs products,
if we purchase products from companies that are ecofeindly or not.
Why do you think our individual actions mater to reduce our carbon footprint instead of waiting for big companies to change their practices first? Explain your thinking in full sentences.
