What are some important things to remember about outlines?
I. A topic outline uses topics or key words/phrases, but a sentence outline uses complete sentences.
II. A topic outline may indicate what the writer should say in their essay (like a hint i.e. "summary of issue").
III. A sentence outline allows the writer to copy the sentence verbatim from the outline and insert it in their paper.
IV. Whether creating a topic OR a sentence outline, if you have an "A," you must have a "B;" and if you have a "1," you must have a "2."
V. BOTH a topic and a sentence outline have a limit of ONE topic or sentence per Roman Numeral or letter.
