The band, however, is required to pay a rental to the auditorium. It wants to make a mathematical model (Equation) for the profit it makes at the performance. That way they can calculate how many tickets they need to sell to raise the amount.

Since the relationship between P and n is linear, the model could be represented as:
P = an + b
