Pythagorean Theorem on the Coordinate Plane – Reading/Writing Grade
Time to be creative! You will write a short story where the main character of your story travels to 3 destinations on the map below.
1.First: Choose your starting point, your next stop, and your final destination.
2.Next: Use the Pythagorean Theorem on the coordinate plane to determine the distance that your main character traveled throughout the story. Show your calculations on the map below, or in the margins.
** Assume that your main character travelled in a straight line from one point to next point.
3.Finally: Write your story. Have fun with this and be creative! This is a reading/writing grade, so you must write at least 5 sentences. Use proper grammar, capitalization and punctuation.
