Note from the author:
For this project, you will be planning a round-the-world trip with 7 destinations of your choice. The formative will help guide you through the research and information gathering, then there will be a video to help you create your project in Google Earth.

Click on this link and then click "present" to view the beginning of my project to get an idea of what you will be creating. You can move through the slides and destinations with the arrows at the bottom. You can you move through the pictures at a destination with the arrows on the picture. You can scroll through the text at a destination with the scroll bar on the text window.

Step 1: Choose SEVEN destinations anywhere in the world. They must be a specific area in a country, you can't pick a whole country. For example, you need to pick Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic or el Yunque rainforest in Puerto Rico - not just "Dominican Republic" or "Puerto Rico." List them here.

Step 2: Decide which topic to focus on in each destination and fill in the list below. For each topic, put one of your destinations in.
Animals - describe, give the common and scientific name (in proper format!!), and show pictures of 2 animals in the area
Your Destination: _______

Plants - describe and show pictures of one native and one invasive plant in the area
Your Destination: _______

Food - choose a local food, show a picture of it and explain what macromolecules are found in the dish
Your Destination: _______

Disease - describe a disease that is found in this area (something not found in the U.S.) including symptoms and treatment. You *can* include pictures, but be warned, if you Google a disease you might get some gross pictures!
Your Destination: _______

Adaptations - show a picture and describe a living thing that is uniquely adapted to living in the area (for example, giraffes with long necks were more fit to reach savannah trees or camels who could survive on less water were more fit for the desert)
Your Destination: _______

Ecosystems - choose an ecosystem in the area, show a picture of it, and describe a food chain (producer and 3 consumers) in the ecosystem and abiotic factors (non-living) in the ecosystem.
Your Destination: _______

Human Impact - describe an environmental issue caused by humans in the area, show pictures of the issue or the area impacted by the issue
Your Destination: _______
Now, let's get the research together! Make sure everything is in your OWN words and you CITE YOUR SOURCE!
