1. Give student an object: What are you thinking? What does the object feel like? How did it make you feel when I placed the object in your hand? What did you want to do with the object?
2. Speak this phrase to a student: You seem like a nice person and I’m looking forward to getting to know you. What was your initial thought after I said that? How did it make you feel? Did hearing me say that affect how you relate to me?

Experiment: Think about a time where you made a choice to do something. Maybe join a club, band, or sports team. What drove you to make that decision? How did you feel once you knew you wanted to make the decision? How did you feel about asking permission to follow through with the decision. Was your choice driven by logical reasoning or emotions?
