I have a new neighbor. She just moved in a week ago and she doesn’t seem to have a care in the world. Her name is Betty and she is somewhat interested in what I do in my garden. On more than one occasion, I have seen her look steadily at me over my fence, but she doesn’t ask for anything. When she watches me, it seems that she is trying to find something. She is young in age, but she has gray hair. Betty is certainly uncommon, compared to my other neighbors. I have also heard her loudly discuss topics with other people in the neighborhood. My fence is supposed to provide me with an opportunity to be alone. Sadly, it doesn’t block out as much as I would like.
